Manager of Football is a message-driven football management game in the spirit of the classics of the late nineties: chunky panels, faxes, teletext, and a club that talks to you rather than a thousand menus. It is built as a small, fast browser game with no backend at all.
The game saves automatically to your browser's local storage after every action. Your career stays on the device and browser you play it in; nothing is uploaded anywhere. Clearing your browser data clears the save, and private windows won't keep one.
Squads, positions, ages, contracts and market values come from publicly available football data, refreshed periodically so the world reflects real transfers. Club spending-rule positions are based on public PSRwatch estimates. Once your career starts, the game's world evolves on its own from that snapshot.
This is a free, independent fan project made for the love of the genre. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League, the EFL, UEFA, any club, or Sports Interactive's Football Manager series. Real player and club names are used in a purely factual, nominative way from public sources. Spending-rule figures are unofficial third-party estimates used for game purposes.
